The research topics in the Institute of Chemistry are constantly changing, so we recommend visiting the website of the given department and the person leading the research in relation to the currently ongoing research. Some topics that are pursued in each department:
Department of Applied and Environmental Chemistry

- Examination of micro- and mesoporous materials

- Theoretical reaction dynamics
- Research on anti-cancer and anti-diabetic metal complexes and metal ion-based therapeutic agents that can be used in the treatment of neurodegenerative diseases

A közelmúltban rendezték meg a 17. Bor Pál Fizikaverseny döntőjét az SZTE Juhász Gyula Pedagógusképző Karán. A verseny évről évre lehetőséget biztosít a fizika iránt érdeklődő általános iskolás diákok számára, hogy összemérjék tudásukat és közelebb kerüljenek a természettudományok világához. Az eseményen az SZTE Fizikai Intézet oktatói is minden évben közreműködnek.
Kinevezéseket és elismeréseket adtak át 2026. június 16-án a Szent-Györgyi Albert Kiválósági Díjátadó Ünnepségen, az SZTE Rektori Hivatal dísztermében.
